How does everyone feel about maybe having a separate forum for problems with each machine type (Fresenius, Braun, Phoenix)? IMHO, if a problem is posted in a "general" forum, the type of machine should be included in the subject line.
Thoughts?

Hi Chuck, I think this is a great idea. If everyone approves and they think it’s a good idea I can very easily build this. I would just need a list of required machine types or how everyone wants it broken down and I can make it happen.

I suggest we have a water treatment section and a place for regulatory and survey questions. I don't know how many people work on CRRT or other equipment.

Awesome I can work on this. Does anyone have a list of machines that they want? And a separate list of RO's perhaps?

My 3 cents....
I think just the major 3 machines Braun, Fresenius, and Phoenix. I think you could probably count on one hand how many times there were questions about CRRT issues. For RO's, I think just a general "Water and Water Equipment" category.

It would be nice to have Ro by Manufacturer, and categorized Portable or clinical. But just an opinion.

Hi Bsquared,
Can you elaborate a bit more on how you want it laid out? I can make it happen. Also, if people find other sections to be not so useful, I can get rid of them.

Surely can:
Portable Ro's- one section sub sections- a-Ameriwater b-Better Water c-Marcor d-BBruan (not an exhaustive list but a start!)
Clinical RO's- one section sub sections a-Marcor b-Zyzatech Again not exhaustive but a start , im sure others will chime in.

Ok I feel this could get over engineered over time if we let it but I do like the idea of having brands of machines as sub categories. That being said I know that some of the portable RO questions are not exclusive to brand as in how do you clean the tubing between the carbon tanks and the portable. Maybe have a general category for each type?

While it is true that the F, B, and P machines are the most common that are talked about in the US, our Northern Neighbor and International biomeds do use a variety of other machines. Perhaps include a section for International/Other Dialysis machines. That would cover units like Nikkiso, Artis, Bellco, Hospal Integra, AK models, etc., and this can also include CRRT units like Prismaflex, Prismax, Omni, etc.
It would help cover the field of machines out there under one tag name.
