Let's talk about a new RO, currently in the market to replace an RO at one of my clinics, 32 stations, any suggestions appropriated.

Anything as long as it isn't from Evoqua.

I agree with Admin. Take a hard look at Aquaboss. It may be pricey up front, but it will save you a ton later.

Also Fresenius and Ammeriwater Since Evoqua bought Marcor, we have yet to place a single order for anything that something wasn't on backorder. When you order membranes, you typically need them yesterday.

why do you have to buy the membranes from a specific vendor we've always shopped around.. I'd take a serious look at the aqua B Plus

I'd take a serious look at the aqua B Plus We've been buying membranes from Applied Membranes but this time we need to replace the SS housings and end caps (they've been "upgraded" by Biolab since we bought the RO). Because of the upgrade, we wanted to be certain we got the correct membranes. As far as the Aqua B Plus....that will be a hard NO. I won't buy anything Fresenius unless there is no other option. If I could afford it, I would absolutely buy AquaBoss.

We have 34 portable RO units from Marcor and have limited issues machine wise. Since they were bought by Evoqua they are a joke as far as getting parts. Does Braun have a portable?

Ken - Bbraun does not, unfortunately. Lauer had the Dia70 and when BBraun acquired Lauer, they acquired the Dia70 but it has since been discontinued.

Chuck,
Are the membranes from Applied Membranes priced competitively? If you are able to share, would you be able to give a price or $ difference for said membranes you needed replacing? I live in CA and didn't even know these guys existed in here. Would be great for our guys here to get that quick delivery and possible local pick up too.

Thankfully we don't need to replace them too often so it's been a few years but, if I remember correctly they were about $175 each cheaper than Marcor. We use "Fresh Water Systems" for membranes for our WRO300's (chemical disinfected). They are about $150 cheaper. Fresh Water Systems
