With this fix it will upgrade your machine software to that of a 2008t bluestar. This software is slightly different than a 2008T especially the early models. Would there be a compatibility issue? One off the top of my head is the volume control. 2008T blue star software has it controlled via software and 2008T still has the knob on the back, which control will win? The knob on the back will win. I have Bluestar software currently installed on my non Bluestar machines. The knob is the only way to control the volume.

Already did the upgrades for this error but just saw it today and had the machine pulled. Any suggestions?

On machines where the upgrade has not occurred i have successfully just unplugged that USB port from the UI card. Though they do not use clic devices, if your facility does this may not be a fix for you

Wanted to give everyone a heads up on my own issues with this problem,
Had multiple machines doing this, but mostly Bluestars with only 4k hours. I installed the upgrade and it fixed only half the machines. Since the software update didn't solve the issue for them all, so i unplugged the USB-2 cable that goes into the UI-MIC board and had no further issues. Called Fresenius to make sure this was okay, and their was response was yes, but they also offer a usb stick that can be put in that will keep random feedback from occurring. Hope this helps!

All of our T BS machines are supposed to have that "update" installed. We still see it pop up randomly. I began disconnecting the USB2 from the boards at each occurrence...until I was informed that we are going to begin using that port within the next few months. :/
I can see this going one of 2 ways and I am NOT betting against the house! lol
(Seriously, hoping that having something connected permanently will alleviate the problem!)

So I did the upgrade almost a year ago and I have had a few issues of this happening since.
What seems to be causing it is staff wiping down the machine and getting bleach water in the port. Once it dries it stops throwing the code which is why it is so intermittent and why plugging something in seems to cure the issue.

Not that I know of. But we are going to begin using USB2 for a mouse on all our machines from what I am being told.
