Are the EKS (square) and ration (round) solenoid/ valves interchangeable?

correction: ratio not ration In my experience, yes. I have done the premium upgrades on my older machines so I'm just buying blue star components for all my machines now and I haven't had an issue. I believe the EKS style are no longer being sold for a number of options (like complete air separator), but I could be wrong.

Are the resistance ranges the same as well? I vaguely recall there was a difference told to me but can’t find anywhere. I know the older EKS (square) range was 40-100 ohms.

I believe the new range is 50 to 150 ohms

The valves are interchangeable but not the solenoids. The square "body/housing" cannot be used with the round solenoids & vice versa. No more "easy" solenoid swaps. Square valves are no longer being sold by FMC, you can get them "rebuilt" new from GIA or refurb/rebuilt from H&S

I never knew that the new ones had such a high resistance until I tried to ohm out a couple of them. Freaked me out for a minute to see a valve showing 120 ohms until I realized that all the round ones were showing 105-120.

The EKS valve coils have around 60 Ohms and the ratio valve coils have around 100 Ohms at room temperature.
