Hello, I have a machine that had the arrow command key on the front panel not working. I already opened the front panel and cleaned the button, and checked for bleach residue on the board. Everything seems normal but the techs still pulled it out again for the same problem..

Check the wiring to the FPB. If that looks ok then I’d suspect the fpb itself.

When doing anything with the FPB be VERY careful with the orientation of the button "caps". At first glance they look like they are square but they're not. If one is turne3d the wrong way it won't work.

Check the ends of the red plugs on the ribbon cables also because I've had no visual reside or anything on the board but the plug had residue.
