I have a 2008T Bibag machine with 12579 hrs. failing optical detector. Calibrated arterial, venous, and transducer pressures. I have replaced transducer #9 and that fixed it for a few weeks, then it came back with same problem. I have tried swapping the level detector module, that also fixed it for a few weeks, now it is back again. I also tried swapping the function board with a known good one, it still fails. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you replaced the motherboard? Could have an issue at the connections.

When you have this problem, have the arterial and/or venous pressures actually drifted or do they still read 0? Some things that make the problem go away for a few weeks aren't really tied together. I don't see how replacing the dialysate pressure transducer would make the problem go away for a few weeks but so would replacing the venous module.

Maybe try 1) Clean the optical detector in the venous line clamp with isoprop wipe , 2) Check the optical cable connection ( connector X160 ) on the LP450 board ( in level detector module ) 3) Swap out the entire level detector module from another working machine and if the issue is resolved 4) if so, trying calibrating the optical detector in the faulty level detector module in the 2008T calibration manual in page 67 fmcna.com/content/dam/fmcna/live/support/documents/techical-documentation/2008t-hemodialysis-systems/508032_Rev_H.pdf There no need to use the warm water as depicted . I will fill up a venous line portion of the blood line with water , then clamped venous line clamp, tap the lower portion of the venous bubble trap to remove air in the bloodline ( especially the portion between the venous clamp and venous level detector ). I not sure why there no optical detector calibration procedure in 2008T calibration manual Does your LP450 board has P5 potential meter ?

you may have to replace the optical detector module that is the bottom module on the level detector

The Venous Pressure signal goes to the Sensor Board from the LD Module via the Motherboard. Could OD signal(s) as well?
Man I miss having the signal schematics like the Phoenix had! Invaluable tool! *Looking at YOU, Big F*

try your senor cable, then in TCD mode your sensor board, could also be your motherboard

Thanks everyone for your help. I am pretty new at Fresenius, so this is all valuable information to me. I was advised, by a few of my co-workers, to try a new CFS #9. So, that is what I did and it has worked so far. We will see if this machine comes back to see me in a little while.
