Stopped by my clinic 11/25/22 to find a Backup machine sitting powered up. Hit the power key, didn't shut off. pulled the power plug and battery, plugged both back in, then hit the power key- Nothing. Came back 11/28/22, talked to staff, and found that the machine had run quite a while with the UF outlet tube blown off the pump (while in heat/rinse-not sure, but was told there was a "flood"). This happened the day after Thanksgiving, and I made the mistake of taking that day off. (The machine ran daily for at least 2 weeks as a back-up with no issues) Tried new keypad, checked rear power switch & power supply fuses, tested power logic, function, sensor, actuator boards in a good machine, verifying each time powered up, then reinstalled boards back in "bad" machine. Installed different UI MICS board in bad machine, no good. Then installed brand new power supply-still dead, no fan. Tried disconnecting module cables & main cables to distribution board-no difference. What's left- motherboard, distribution board, cables? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know on the K and K2 the power button is prone to going out. Only way to fix this is to replace the whole display assembly. I’m not sure if the power button is serviceable on a T or if that’s even a problem with T’s. Just throwing it out there.

24 volt cable, ribbon cable from power supply to power logic board, check power plug, distribution board, actuator cable...... yep try that

I am still trying to figure out why the machine wouldn't turn off. I don't think I have ever seen that. I would have thought the power button, but you replaced the keypad.
What if you went through the troubleshooting guide on no power and skipped over the components you have already tried? I wonder if something got wet when the hose blew off?

Thanks for the tips guys. I have not used a Technical repair manual in quite sometime (as all I had was K/K2 guide). I finally looked up the T manual and will troubleshoot from there. I've already made a few mistakes- 1.) leave shunt plugged in when eliminating modules, 2.) try disconnecting Degas, flow, UF pumps at distribution board. It is my guess that when the UF pump was pumping, with no outlet tubing, something got soaked and caused a short. I will continue with the T guide, and let you know what it turns out to be.

T Tech troubleshooting manual pages 686 to 689- no 5 volts at R191- bad motherboard. Just happened to have a 190500 motherboard in stock. Now turns on / runs ! Thanks again guys.
