Hi, I have at least 2 machines with the same issue on the blood pump module. 2008-T machine, a little over 20,000 hrs. The module will display a speed; when I pulled the 1st machine, it was reading 86, but the rotor was spinning much faster than that. The machine display was set to 400.
I tried to adjust the speed on the module and on the machine display, but the module would not go above 86. I tried to re-calibrate the pump rate, again could not get the 100 rate to calibrate. I Came back the next day and the pump seemed to be working fine & was able to re-calibrate it.
I just had a second module do the same thing, reading 72. I checked the display/control pads on both, did not see any signs of damage or over pushing. I'm not sure if it is a pump issue, LP955 or the display. I contacted FMC tech support, and he basically said "yes, could be 1 of those 3."
Any suggestions or anyone else experienced this before?

I had 2 more machines having the same issue, bringing the total to 4.
As it turns out, the staff are accidentally changing the blood tubing diameter setting when they are cleaning the machine post-tx. I have witnessed them wipe down the BP door and leaving it open while they wipe down the rest of the BP module. They are hitting both up & down keys long enough to change the tubing diameter setting.
