Have several 10 yo Ver 9 leaking from either the overflow tubing or the lid of the upline tank. Sometimes tightening the screws of the lid will help. Could this be a worn FPE/FPA issue? Maybe EP?

We have had issues where the lid would develop a hairline crack and would only leak near the end of the cycle.

Maybe my memory is cloudy, but I believe the water inlet connection on the upline tank of the early version 9's was directly above the overflow connection. Sometimes when the tank was filling, some water would come out of the overflow tubing. If that's not the case, and it's leaking from the overflow, I would think you may have bad/intermittent tank level sensor NSVB, a leaky inlet valve VVBE, or a DMV that is bad/out of adjustment. If the machines are that old, replacing all three may be your best bet.
