BBraun only recommends using citric acid to clean the membranes, we are having a LOT of mineral deposites in our smaller ro's requiring bi-monthly low ph cleanings as opposed to our usual routine (not always needed) monthly low ph cleanings.
Has anyone ever low ph cleaned an aquaboss instead of the citric? I have a 900 dual membrane that is putting out 600 or so on the primary and pi3 is 0.3, down from 3 just a month ago (incoming water temp is 64.5*F). I did two back to back citrics and got pi3 from 2.3 to 3, flow went up but not much. it is currently putting out 800-1000 on the secondary in emergency mode.
We have a new membrane on order (nearly $5k) but was wondering if anyone has ever done a low ph clean on these, might save us some cash next time. When I asked BBraun they said "citric is a low ph cleaning" and was basically told to not use low/high ph or minncare but from my experience, it's just not the same as ameriwater's A. minncare is a low ph cleaner too but it doesn't clean the membrane like step 1, or the A low ph cleaners. I wouldn't use minnecare on the aquaboss, but maybe low ph? Kinda curious.

The documentation only "clearly" states you can do a citric cleaning. Can you do a Low/High PH? Yes, you can. I would probably do a citric, followed by a High, then a Low PH.
Again - there is no documentation, but you can do it.

I would highly suggest to look over your pre-treatment and put in the necessary filtration, or we'll be here next year, or the year after
