This is for the users of Fresenius dialyzers
How are your clinics treating this "new" label and the change in name from NR to NRe?
I'm asking because my nurses are making a big deal out of basically nothing, even had the nomenclature changed in the EMR, and now they want me to ensure that Fresenius sends only one type of dialyzer from now on. I told them that will happen when the stock of old labeled dialyzers is depleted, but of course, they want instant gratification!

I am seeing on Facebook that many clinicians insist that they a different dialyzers completely. The old NR are regular and the NRe is hypoallergenic for those that are allergic to the NR. Even after a couple others posting the official notices from Fresenius saying that it is only a labeling change, the misinformation continues. Dialyzer post on FacebookYou can't fix stupid!

Here's the memo from Clinical Services. "• If your clinic receives the dialyzer with the new label it can be used
• ONLY the label on the dialyzer and case has changed
• FMCRTG, LLC communication will follow this memo in the coming week"
