I would like to hear how everyone disposes of hemodialysis machines and other large medical equipment that has been removed from service.

Part out all the reusable parts and take out any extra metal for scrap and take the shell of the machine to the dump....... IMHO

Perfect timing for this question!
We have a junk hauler that takes ours away and he would recycle the metal. We just had 24 hauled out last week and he told us yesterday he won't take them again because the recycler is refusing them now. I'm guessing a roll-off dumpster will be our only other option.

Gia has been great to me. She gives me $100 each for my old Dialogs. It's not much, but they pay to haul them off. If someone out there can get some good out of them, so be it.

The ones we just retired were the last of our Version 8's so I doubt she would have wanted them. That said, the few parts that we saved off of them were worth more than what she would give us and the cost of their disposal combined.
