I have been experiencing low blood pressure on dialysis. I have extensive medical issues including heart and vascular disease. I am currently taking 10mg midorine 3 times a day. But over the last few weeks it has still been dropping to about 75 while dialising even though it starts off at around 140. I am wanting to know if there is any further way of stopping this. If it keeps happening dialysis will no longer work due to fluid overload

Hi there. Perhaps having a salty snack during dialysis may help (salt raises blood pressure, hence why folks with hypertension should limit sodium intake). My mother is on dialysis and it seems to help her blood pressure when it drops. A small amount of electrolyte drink or electrolyte powder helps as well. *************************************************************************************************************************
