when trying to calibrate the bicarb cond cells and the cond, reference cells this is the message (no communication with meter) that comes up, we have replaced the cables, the port, the dongle, yellow cable several times, have calibrated acid/bicarb pumps, and dialysate cond, cells, calibrated temp also, we have replaced the function board, replaced the mother board, replaced the interface board, replaced the actuator board, checked both small boards in the bibag system in the hydraulics everything looked good. has anyone had this problem please share if you had a fix thanks

What if it was the meter this whole time had something screwy going on? Have you used it on another machine successfully?

insure you are doing the calibration correctly it may call for using ro water instead of acid also have you tried to call tech services has your 90xl been calibrated

Have you used it on another machine successfully? we have used 4 different meters they were just all pm in sept. all machines are saying this. and yes technical services has been called several times, the motherboard was the last thing they told us to try, still saying the same thing.

I am not sure I am reading your post correctly. Are you saying all your meters have a problem with this one Fresenius machine, but when hooked up to another Fresenius machine, the meters and the Fresenius machine work fine?
Had anyone performed any repair or maintenance on this machine, or did the problem suddenly occur during a PM?
Are you sure you have the correct software version?

Apparently after an update the PC Debug setting got turned on on some machines and causes this error.

Had this issue in the beginning. turns out that due the connection port on the machine being exposed to water and bleach, it corrodes and will not allow the machine to communicate with the 90xl. What I did was disconnect the 90xl terminal port from the function board, got a new terminal and instead of installing/replacing the terminal on the machine, just attach the port direct from the function board to the 90xl. Yes, you will have to leave the boards cabinet open until your done calibrating. Let me know how this works out for you.
