2008t, new screen, is bright as can be in service mode, switch it over to cdx mode and can barely see it. checked the inverter cable( as in i removed the entire screen, opened up the back panel of the screen to see if it had come loose, no dice), the ui board is a gen 2, but thats actualy kinda new as half my fleet are gen 1's, not much in the troubleshooting guide that i could find... any ideas i might have missed?

CDX side of life is a basic computer.
without any program running right click on the back ground and go into display settings. If your CDX is Windows 10 the 1st window that opens has a brightness setting.
Depending on your company settings you might not be able to change anything in there and would have to have IT department help

stuff I ment to reply to you but somehow lost track. Big F doesnt really let you do much with the linux box they load on the machines( womp womp). trying to get someone from IT to patch in to ajust the brightness was kinda a waste of time, iv had the ticket in for two weeks at "low priority" so im not holding out hope. it has a gen 2 hybrid ui board, so it might suffer a catrastrophic failure and get replaced

I know this is a older thread but I was wondering if you were able to figure out what the dim screen issue was. I have a machine doing the same thing. So I was looking for a starting point. Thanks..

I've had a bent pin on the J7 connector of the UI mics board that caused the CDX screen to dim. Can be very carefully straightened using the tip of a syringe.
