Currently have 2 90xl's, got the go ahead to replace one of my old ones thats finally died( scrached, popped in screen) . Kinda curious if there are any alternatives to the 90XL out there ppl use for cals and pms on 2008t's. i know the 90xl can be fixed, but im trying to use this to perhaps "upgrade" as it were.

I second the vote for the HDM 97. Mesa is the US distributer for them and they have it buried so deep on their webpage that most will probably never find it. If you go with the HDM 97, H&S services them so you don't have to deal with the Mesa BS. Here's the link...... HDM 97 Meter

HDM97 or IBP as we call them is a great unit but you cannot use them when calibrating the independent conductivity on the new Fresenius Bluestar machines. You have to have the 90 XL meter. That is the only meter at the moment, that I know of, that will connect to the Bluestar machines.

The conductivity cell of the reference meter is put inline of the fluid path.

The conductivity can be calibrated with any meter. (I don't care if you are using a NEO2 meter, LOL) But the INDEPENDENT conductivity on the Bluestar machines has to be calibrated with a 90xl meter with cable and null modem per Fresenius. This is the conductivity that enables the staff to only need pH strips when checking the machine before treatment. The conductivity is verified by the second cell in the machine. No external meter is needed.

just as an update: So the Mesa rep in charge of the meter product line is named Ryan Twose, but i havent really been able to get in touch with him yet. His number at Mesa is 972-795-9206 just in case anybodys curious. Most of the cust service reps didnt know much about the hdm, other than to direct me to him, which sucks cuz i really wanted one. I'v decided I'll just get another 90xl, as all our 2008t's use ind cond, and its the only one that allows that, womp womp. So much for getting to play with a new toy .
