Is the blood pump rotor running backwards, or does the blood pump just sense that it's running backwards?
The last time I saw this, it was the rotor hall sensor.
It can also be LP 955 or LP 956.
I would also check the rotor magnets to be sure they are in good shape.

Knowing if the pump is actually going backwards would go a long way. Do you replace brushes in them? Did you connect the wires backwards? Did you install the brush "cap" 180degree opposite?

Stuff has a good point.
I should have asked if this problem suddenly occurred, or did it happen after someone worked on the blood pump? The more I think about this, I think my problem may have started after I worked on the blood pump. I am not sure.

I would also check the rotor magnets to be sure they are in good shape. This would be my go-to fix. I have cracked magnets unknowingly and had machines pulled later for this issue. That is assuming this is just an error message. If the pump is actually going backwards, you're looking at the whole module.

Thank you for the information.
Fix was Rotor Hall Sensor (which was new) swapped with another and back up and running.
Thank you
