Never had this issue but I thought I can help my team by asking around, as the title suggests, UF normally turns on when the start tx button is pressed however on a few machines, staff have reported that this is not the case and they have turn it on manually. They are complaining about pressing a single button so I would like to help my team get to the bottom of this. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

We had this problem years ago. It was a software glitch. Once the staff manually turned on the UF for the first treatment of the day, everything was OK from then on.
As crazy as it may sound, it happened on February 29 and whenever we had two consecutive months with 31 days.
I assume staff does everything the same on all the machines. I think I would contact Fresenius on that one. Like I said, we only had the problem on the first treatment of the day.

In a year, it has only happened enough times that staff can count them with their fingers but I will ask my team if they have had this issue. I am only a biomed with a couple months of experience so many issues of the past and before BS machines are beyond my knowledge but in my time I have seen this once and only once. My preceptor just passed it off as a glitch.

You might want to see if the problem follows particular staff members or certain machines. We found that some staff members periodically would not enter the data in the correct order or similar. I can't remember the specifics, but it did follow certain staff members.
