One of our physicians is showing interest in a Crit-Line. Can anyone give me information on them? Do you have any idea what they cost? Are they truly beneficial to have?
Thank you in advance.

I hope you're sitting down! The Crit-Line itself is about $10,000. The "Clic" sensor cable alone is $4,000.

That's actually the kind of information I need to put an end to the thought of buying one. Thank You!

We bought one 3 years ago to use on pediatric patients and the entire device was $4600. We recently had to by a clic cable and found out what the prices are now.
This is pure speculation but....Fresenius may be trying to price them out of existance so that they can use it as a selling point for their machines since it can be integrated into the machine itself. I guarantee that the price of a machine with the crit-line option is nowhere near $10,000 more than one without it.

I think your completely on point with that observation. its widely known that Big F owned( not JV or partnerships) clinics pay basically at cost +10-ish percent for items, and even we pay out the nose of critlines, most of which dont make it more than a year or so in the acute settings due to use/abuse there was a time several of the nephro's wanted to implement it into out "incenter" clinics, untill realizeing that, at 4200$ a set X 24 chairs came out 110K$, so that idea kinda died out.
