For as long as I can remember, we have used the HACH bicarb pH Reagent strips. They are no longer available. I did find Serim Guardian Bicarb pH II strips, but they are nearly as much per bottle as we were paying for a box of 5 bottles. Two questions... What is everyone else using and when testing bicarb for pH do the strips have to be specific for dialysate?

Do you mean the strips for pH testing that has to be done before starting each treatment of for testing a mixed batch of bicarb?

We have a pH/Conductivity meter for machine testing. We use the strips to ensure that the bicarb clear from our distribution loop.
