Good afternoon everyone. Have a few machines down all with similar issues... temp too high or too low.
bbraun came out and did a little work on a machine or two but didn't fix the issue, now I just had another one go down for "Degassing not sufficient"
what im wondering is, could they all be degassing pump issues? all the machines were purchased at the same time and the ones that have the temp errors or degassing not sufficient are all bought from 2017, 9.1B. I have an EP pump im going to try on one of the temp ones to try that first monday but I may just overnight some degassing parts if my money is better put on those odds instead.
let me know your thoughts, cheers.

I should add that all the temp error machines went down at the exact same time, same day while I was talking to nursing director about the Temp error machine I already had in the shop. Which was weird so we made sure inlet water from tank was correct temp and it indeed was.

For the temp errors, I would suspect a temp sensor. How are they reading? Look at each one, if it has any crust or staining on the sensor disk, replace it along with its oring.

I'm with Chuck. I know it's a lot of work, but sometimes it's better to change all of the temperature sensors followed by complete temperature and conductivity calibration. Look in the trends and see if you can identify a bad sensor.

<biomedfanboy> How can you have a High Temp? That is unusual. If water is flowing through the machine, the sensors will 'cool' off. The TSD provides feedback to the computer to not raise the heater but to maintain it. I know, how does it go HIGH. There is a temp test that raises the temp to >50 deg. C, to ensure the machine 'sees' an alarm with hot fluid. But after the test is over, the sensors need flowing water to cool back down. If that does not happen, you get a high temp alarm.
Note: The degas pump, EP, does NOT push water to the temp sensors in the DF block. FPE is responsible for PULLING water from the Water Block. If FPE/FPA are weak, slow water movement, takes too long to cool sensors down, ... ALARM! Also, if you are running on portables, make sure they are supplying continuous water, and are not petering out after some minutes of operation.
Lastly, the left message window will only display one message. You must open the window to see other messages. It is different than the right message window which flashes if there is more than one message in queue.

<SrCusEngr> Thanks for the tips. I started to think about fpe/fpe after they squealed a bit before the high temp. and I know its weird right? even bbraun said that its rare but yes "temp too high" is the error they keep getting Ill take these suggestions and try them out. One of the ones that has high temp is now saying concentrate mixing ratio or bic cond. I'm definitely not out of the woods yet

<the walking biomed> If you are MVH, you will be getting another visit, because the jobs are not completed, right?

<SrCusEngr> yessir I assumed that is correct, I hadn't heard one way or another yet though.
