I have a machine that I'm trying to do the software upgrade on, I keep getting this error Cond Conf calibration is in error has anyone seen this error and how did you fix it.

Try rinsing the machine and then calibrate again. The instructions tell you to do the slow flow temp and then calibrate the cond cell but what they don't tell you is that if you don't rinse the machine in between you will get that error. I had this happen to me at one of my clinics.

Bella.....did rinsing the machine fix your issue? We are upgrading to Bluestar now and am coming across this problem.

Cond Conf calibration
We calibrate that here on Bibag machines using a 90XL conductivity meter and a special cable that plugs into the RS232 port on the back of the machine. This "update" turned normal 2008T machines into basic Blue Stars on the software level. Some people are also complaining it forces you to calibrate some temperature thing.
As Magneto once said "In chess the pawns go first", I did not upgrade mine because I wanted to see what "issues" the upgrade would cause first.

Check and verify that your bicarb mix is within the recommended range. If it is not in range, mix a new batch and flush the loop. Verify loop is good. Then perform re-cal again.

Also, to add to the post above if you are having issues with calibrating the temperature; re-cal the temperature sensors(pre-temp/post) with the resistors. That will fix the issue if the temperature never rises up in temp control calibrations. It doesn't force you to do this calibration as part of the process for all machines and I've only come across 2.

When I was doing mine the calibration error only happened on my bibag machines. Found that it didn't like it if I did the temp cal and then went straight to the cond cal. It would fail every time. But, if I turned off the machine after temp and started fresh for the cond, I never had the error.
Now, with the daylight savings issue they are going to have to fix the software again so we have been told to hold off since there are so many issues.

Make sure you calibrate temp, both temp sensors. Then calibrate acid and bicarb before doing the final calibration. If the conductivity is doesn’t stay above 12.4 while the calibration with 90XL it will fail update. Shut down, restart, recalibrate acid and bicarb. Then try the final calibration. Will change from red to blue. Good luck!!

I did the software upgrade on one of my T Machines since I was already in the middle of a PM and wanted to see if there were any issues. I got to the Cond conf calibration and guess what special cable I don't have...I asked the previous Biomed, she had no idea what I was talking about. Guess what special cable is on back order?

Dont forget to order that adaptor for the end of the cable as well. Sadly it does not come as package deal

I'm also having the same issue.
I've updated three machines so far and the first went perfectly, but the next two I'm getting the same error.
The conductivity is also now reading a lot higher on the machines and the meter (TCD=13.4, Meter and machines 14.3+).
I've tried using jugs and the loop so its not the concentrates.
I even tried reloading the software with the second USB I received thinking maybe it was a corrupted file.
I fallowed the steps to the letter (like the first machine) but still no luck.

If you're still getting the cond ref error, rinse the machine and then re-start the cal procedures; that solved a few of th machines we had in our area. Have you tried some of the suggestion given above and any luck? Would like to know what else you've done. I haven't done an update since Dec and our team has completed all of our updates; we pretty much tried all suggestions mention in this thread. They all worked out for us. Also, make sure there is no leaks b/c that can cause cal issues & the cond ref error as well. For the increased cond after update: Re-cal your acid and bicarb pumps, then re-cal cond & temp again. A couple of machines in my area had the cond increase after update, which I found PM's weren't done as they should be or PMs were coming up soon. As a biomed you just know who is doing and not doing, not a slight at you at all. Please come back and let us know if you get it going. GL!

Thank you for responding.
Yes I did rinse the machines several times to make sure that wasn't the issue, and multiple power downs. I did read the entire thread and tried what fixed the others issues.
The first machine (I had issues with) I did recalibrate the acid and bicarb pumps and it did bring the condo down from about 18 to the 14s, but still way to high.
I did the low flow temp compensation, turned those options off, restarted the machines and tried the condo confirmation calibration and I keep getting the same error Bella was getting "Cond Conf calibration is in error". There is something odd I noticed while attempting to do the calibration though, the little box with the dots showing that it's working on the calibrations is sometimes different colors. One time it will be light gray, the next its a yellowish color.
I'm at a bit of a loss at this point.
The conductivity on my meter mirrors what the machine is saying so I don't believe it's a conductivity cell issue.
I don't know, I will be back at the clinic tomorrow and try again. If it doesn't work I may have to call tech support and see if they know what's going on.
I don't want to try another software upgrade and have a third machine tagged out, so until I figure out the issue my progress is at a standstill.
Again the first machine I did the upgrade on was a total success, but the fallowing two I am having the exact same issue.

Did you use the special yellow cable and the connector to hook your meter up to the machine? If not you can not calibrate Cond Conf as the machine and meter communicate with each other for this calibration. It would plug into the port on the back of the machine
it should have also given an error after a long while of "unable to Communicate with meter"

Yes, I used the yellow cable with the adaptor. As you mentioned it won't even allow you to attempt to calibrate if the meter isn't hooked up and turned on. It does start the calibration but fails with that error message.
Again the first machine was a total success, so that's why I'm so confused. I spoke with my fellow biomeds in the area that have done all there upgrades, one did see that message but his slow flow option was still turned on, mine is not.
