Do you guys working for the big F fix your own chairs? How about Champion vs Winco? Most of the time i order a part from Champion it takes a month or two to get it in. Ive ordered parts in January and still waiting now. Thinking of going WINCO next time. Also, if the chair comes with heat/massage it should work; any of y'all order chairs without those features so they would be simpler. I know it would be more comfortable for the patients, but its been a big pain for me; sounds bad I know.

They have technicians that will fix chairs and provide quarterly PMs. They also have SOME parts on hand, making turnaround a bit faster.

We use Champion. I do all of the repairs myself. I also have been having a tough time getting any parts from Champion. I've been waiting over four months on a pad for the foot rest and a new seat cushion. It's not as good of company as it used to be.

Thanks for the input so far. A 4 month wait for a part is ridiculous. Anyone had problems getting WINCO parts?

I just spoke to the lady, yesterday, that owns the chair repair company that we use for our clinics. She is having major issues getting in parts as well. She also said that Champion just bought Winco so guess it is not going to matter much which brand you have.

Sadly Champion bought out Winco, I doubt Champion will retain the manufacturing that Winco does and will source parts like they do now.

We use all Winco chairs and haven't had any issues with parts delays in the previous few months. The Winco chair is easier to repair IMO, but we don't have any of those fancy features like heating and massage. Just something else to break.

Decided to ask here since there was already a thread regarding treatment chairs. We have always used Champion chairs but are looking for something different. Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the Fresenius chairs? We had a rep come yesterday to talk about Critline and mentioned that they sold chairs. I had no idea. They look nice but I would like to get an honest opinion from someone that has had first hand experience with them.

NWOhio- BIG F. we have winco at some clinics and champion at others. anything upholstered for champion takes 3-6 months to get a part. anything metal takes about a week or two, so we have been buying full brand new chairs and getting them within a month..... winco are not terrible, they just are kind of cheap. our boss was looking into a company that comes and does work on our chairs. not sure what happened to the service, it was mentioned and we were interested then we heard nothing.

When I did we used champion I believe. This was several years ago and it took awhile for parts back then...I can imagine it's worse now, even takes forever for car parts sometimes, medical stuff seems worse. But I haven't worked on chairs in a minute so not really sure.
We replaced all the arms at one clinic...pin holes all in them. One had a cut on the armrest and it ripped open...RED EVERYWHERE. I decided to cut another one open, same thing. Boy did that knife get a thorough disinfection that night XD
Then another one had a car air freshener hanging from the under side. Next day (I did this at night) I asked what was up with that..."Oh that patient had c-diff"
Glad I wore gloves and was ocd about hand washing...still am...even more so now after that. BLEH

Car air freshener under the chair? Thank you for the best laugh I have had all week.

The clinic I have has both, and at the moment my workgroup is considering going full champion. the downside is the wait time, they ordered some months before I started, and they just got here in July, so it was about a 9-month wait for 4 chairs.
as for fixing them, I have had to work on the Wincos with parts we've ordered, and stuff iv cannibalized for older ones that got tossed, esp the lifts on the legs, both things rather not waste my time on having to do.

I have a quick mod to help from the chairs ripping the laminate off the cabinets behind them. Buy 1" pipe insulation and thread it onto the rear "handle". It helps!!
