I have a machine that the Blood Pressure is not taking. Machine alarms BP not deflating. Tech called for me and stated it wouldn't take, they changed the cuff with a new one then wouldn't take at all when pushing the stat/deflate button. I switched out the blood pressure module and cable. Machine was powered off and back on, pumps up and releases, pumps up again, then alarms. I checked the boards to make sure they were all seated correctly? I am going to do a calibration on the Blood pressure module (even though its new). Any other suggustions?

Was the module switched with the machine powered on? This is one I have always been told that if it is on and you disconnect the wires you can mess the module up even if it is not being used

I've had the hoses leak at the end where the metal barb is. They lose elasticity and the small leak is enough to cause the inflate and deflate problem you describe. If you can rotate the barb easily on the hose end, then it's probably too loose. Cut about 1/2 off the end and reconnect the barb and that might fix it.

have you tried a known good module from another machine insure that the module and the cables are correct this will tell you if your module is bad or something in the card cage

From Wayback Machine <confused> posted 25 November 2018 09:35 PM I have a 2008T machine with a M3600F module that keeps displaying BPM: Not deflating when trying to take a cuff reading. I have tried swapping the cuffs with a known good one, swapped with a new module, swapped the cable going from the module to the motherboard. Not sure what else it could be. maybe the motherboard? <pops> posted 25 November 2018 11:20 PM have you called tech services maybe a connection is bad on the function board Confused
disclaimer my views and no one else Razzer <in2bama> posted 27 November 2018 07:59 AM Just to be sure, since you did not mention it, try a different hose and BP Cuff. Maybe a filter stopped up or line collapsed possibly. I know you said you tried a different cuff and a module but did not say anything about trying a different BP cuff hose. Also be sure and try a different cable when testing a different module, just to eliminate the cable too. <pops> posted 28 November 2018 01:09 AM bear in mind to that the cables are module specific you cant use a m400 cable with a 2915 Big Grin
