So I have a machine that gets a "degassing circuit malfunction - too high degassing pressure during disinfection" at least once every 6 weeks. The Braun Tech has been out and "fixed it" 3 times now. Any idea what could be happening?

What software and model type? Different machines operate the degassing circuit differently!

Ex-factory 9.1B: software looks at degassing circuit pressure before the start of a disinfection. A value of about -65 mmHg should be showing. It then ignores the degassing pressure unless it goes positive by a fair amount (usually indicating a loss of water in the tank).
Upgrade to Version 9.1B: same as above. But make sure a disposable filter was installed where TSHE used to be.
Lastly, make sure the correct size silicone tubing is used on the wands (the 1-1/4 inch segment between the straw and the suction nipple).

It might be caused by the remaining citric acid if the staffs turn off the machine immediately after disinfection. Later, these particles will block the VEB valve and FVE filter.
