I have a few portable ro machines I am taking out of service but would like to store for emergencies. I am looking to see if anyone knows of a product that I can pump in to my units as I wait for Marcor to respond.
Thanks-Ken

I believe the chemical you're looking for is sodium metabisulfite.

I'm not sure of any chemical that lasts forever for storage other than formaldehyde. That being said there are products like Mem-Stor that I believe are designed to last for 3 months at a time. Mem-Stor is basically low pH cleaner, which could also be used for storage if necessary although your manufacturer IFU should give some guidance on long term removal from service.

The only thing TFC membranes need for long term storage is moisture. Rinse them out with purified water, drain, and seal. I still have a 50 gallon drum of glycerin, mostly full, since I was informed that this was needed for shipping membranes in the winter. It was a real hassle to do so and caused a lot of rinsing time and water waste for my customers.

Unless it is packaged, sealed, and sterilized OR packed in a bacteriostatic agent, any bacteria present will multiply.
