How are you dealing with your staff treating you poorly after you've reported an issue within the clinic?
I am having issues with staff bleaching machines, I reported it, it was handled, and now the staff are deliberately causing issues. Machines being pulled for various reasons but I cant duplicate the reason, toilets being broken, random items on treatment floor all of a sudden breaking.
Obviously, I cant prove this is been done on purpose but the issues all of a sudden started after I made the report.

They should have a chance to be educated on the mistake and then complimented if they correct the fault. They should not be surprised at a QAI meeting or thrown under a bus. If you were professional and a team player and they’re still acting petty, just fix the problems. A toilet needs to be fixed, that’s our job.

Machines getting pulled and you don't see the problem when you have them in the work room has been going on at my job for 20 years. The longer you are there, the more this will happen due to age of everything. I would give it some time and if you see anything blatant then address it. If not and you start blaming people then that will just put them in the mode you say they are in already. Good luck!

If you were professional and a team player and they’re still acting petty, just fix the problems. A toilet needs to be fixed, that’s our job. I started out by talking with the techs on the logs and explaining why it was important to be done. I even told them that the machine would tell on them if they didn't do it. After finding them not bleached a week later, it was reported to the CM only. After seeing it not done the 3rd week, it was then reported in QAI. 4th week in a row, reported to CM, DO, ATOM 5th week in a row, reported to DO and ATOM. Policy for bleaching machines posted next to tech/treatment room door. Its not like I just sabotaged anyone. I gave adequate time for the issue to be corrected. I didn't feel the CM was taking it seriously since she was stepping down anyway.. She didn't seem concerned about the issue... At the end of the day, it is our job to ensure patient safety. Had this issue not been caught first by auditors, I probably would have never known it to be an issue. Since they came, I check the machines each week to ensure they have been bleached. If I am at the clinic on bleach days, I will bleach the machines in tech area to ensure they are done.

Obviously, I cant prove this is been done on purpose but the issues all of a sudden started after I made the report. ".....A toilet needs to be fixed, that’s our job. " I do not miss working in clinics. I replaced more bulbs and unclogged more toilets than I fixed machines XD well felt like that. I've had some pretty serious issues. The key is to NOT bite back. It never helps, all that ends up happening is YOU come off looking like an {booty hole} Do I always follow this advice? Sadly no but I do try. Remain professional, do your job, try to be friendly, and remember you work to live not live to work...it's JUST a job...don't care so much. My co-workers and I have work phones separate from our personal ones and NO ONE knows our personal numbers (well none of the clinic staff) and when we are not on call and after hours the work phone doesn't get answered or texts responded too...boundaries. Sometimes it works, sometimes you'll find you can be nice and polite (not snarky) to someone that cussed you out, sometimes you'll find a better job, and sometimes you'll have a meeting with your regional manager were you're told to give your two weeks or get fired...and all the while you did nothing wrong. Some folks can't hold back their temper or know how to be diplomatic so it's hard to give advice in that regard, you kind of have to just know how to do that. Also remember...you might be having some observer bias...stuff isn't really breaking more but you're noticing it more...or maybe it really is, but still might not be on purpose. don't let that in the front of your mind, more of a back of the head "look out for but don't focus on" kind of thing It's really a tough thing to give advice on...I know what you're going through and I've had the situation end well and badly...you can only control how YOU feel and how YOU react...choose to be better...such crap advice, but all I got
