I was wondering if anyone has any tips for taking off and reinserting the J7 cable. I really hate removing the cable from the IU board. I almost always bend the pins. I have more on one occasion broke off a pin. I really hate spending time trying to get the pins aligned correctly. I really hate having to replace a whole new board for 400.00.
Any tips would be greatly apricated.

I took a mini flathead screwdriver. Bent it 90 degrees a quarter inch from the end. Insert it on either side, rotate the screwdriver to pry it off the base, then the other side. Then they easily come off

I use a "Complex Pick" from Milwaukee ( Grangers PN: 55MN30, Milwaukee PN: 48-22-9215 ), and thing works wonders. Attachments:

We have a set of picks from Harbor Freight in each clinic. They are a couple bucks for a 5-pack of various tip configurations so it's not a big deal if they break/corrode. I have a set that's over 10 yrs old so they're not horrible.
For my own personal tools, I'd prefer the one he listed above.
