We have a total of 4 machines down at 3 different clinics waiting for 3 different parts that are on backorder.
What parts do you currently have on backorder? I'll start......
Blood Leak Detector (34561692) - Ordered 8/25. Was expected to ship today but now they "hope" 10/24. Blood Pump Rollers (3456080A) - Ordered 10/12. Expected to ship 11/11. Solcart Housing O-rings (34570594) - Ordered 10/19. Expected to ship 10/31.

UPDATE: The long awaited Blood Leak Detector has finally arrived and it only took 2 months! Unfortunately, the machine remains out of service because we had to take the blood pump roller from it in order to keep from having yet another machine out of service.

I made an honest post not so long ago asking about this issue since I'm new to Braun and Admin told me:
"When the world is backordered on baby formula, I suspect some parts to be too."
Maybe he will shed light on it for you since he wouldn't for me.

Did they drop it and the spring popped out or the corner broke off?

kendec: I'm sure it is somehow COVID/Supply chain related. Everything having to come from Germany with the shipping issues makes things worse. That said, those reasons don't fix machines and keep our patients dialyzed. These manufacturers of medical equipment should have some kind of contingency plan for parts. I suggest, take parts from the assembly line of new equipment and use them to support what is already in the field. What good is it to sell a machine if you can't support it?
Joey: We've had them break from abuse/misuse like you describe and also the bearings wearing out. The later is probably do to abuse also but, it can't be validated.

Could be worse... I have AED/defibrillator pads on backorder since raw materials are unavailable for manufacturing. This is why I like to have spare stock and not wait until 30 days before expiration to buy them. Goes for anything in use. The "Just in time" mentality of ordering supplies for clinical use doesn't make sense imho
