Gia Machine with 2500 hours pulled twice for Low flow error. I checked EVERYTHING. Did BC valve tests twice. Valve leak test. Took some of the BC valves apart just to inspect. Pressures all good. Conductivity steady, so don't think it's membranes. It runs all day long in my office (with lines and dialyzer attached and UF on) just fine. Can never get it to fail. I'm guessing a valve is sticking intermittently?? Any ideas?

Does it have a Diasafe filter? They can get restricted and give intermittent flow and Cond problems.

Most likely if this is an intermittent issue, you have brushes that are hung up. With 2500 hours I'm sure they are fine and have plenty of life left however, I've seen where the brush leads get hung up on the little plastic "L's" in the pump. Take the flow pump apart and check to see if both brushes are fully extended by the springs once removed. If not, this is most likely the cause. I went through this on a handful of newer machines with 1000-3000 hours on them a few years back and this was the issue. Good luck! BTW if the flow pump has brushes that are hung up, it's a good idea to also check your deaeration pump as well.

found that issue as well new machine took motor apart and brush was hanging up also the valve leak test will only tell you if a valve is sticking open it will pass if the valve is sticking closed run the living heck out of it until the flow error becomes more permanent run in rinse with shunt open may take a couple of days though

I haven't checked flow brushes. It is a refurbished GIA machine, so who knows how many actual hours are on all the parts. Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll post if I find anything definite...

Don't take apart the flow motor, Take the end of the screw driver push on the shaft motor of the flow pump, if you can stop it. then it is the brushes.
