I got a call Friday evening from a nurse at one of our more remote locations (90 minutes away). She was in a panic because she thought Braun had delivered "the wrong bicarb" (Solcarts). She sent me a picture of what she got. It was the 760g cartridges but they were not in individual plastic bags and, they had green caps on the nipples. I contacted the East Coast sales manager and as expected was told that it was just a change in packaging to provide caps in case people wanted to save partial cartridges. #1, I don't agree with saving cartridges even though they are technically good for 24 hours. #2, why do this for the 760g and not the 1100g since it would be more likely to be saved? #3, and most importantly, Nurses are rightfully creatures of habit and if something is different, they are going to question it. This lack of communication/notification from Braun never would have happened 5 years ago! Attachments:

Its been brought to my attention that notification was made in October 2020 and again in January 2021. That said, I feel that a notification maybe a month before the change would have been appropriate.

While the notices went out some time ago, B Braun USA does not know when a specific item that has been changed by the manufacturer will be hitting our warehouse. We get advanced notice to pass on to our customers. We have no idea when the worldwide supply of Solcarts (old style) are depleted in Germany and they start shipping the new inventory. And, depending on your local inventory, it may be months before you see it while other customers have been using it.
