I know this was a thread on RenalWeb but I haven't seen it on here yet. We currently use the 90XL meter and we've had it for a long time. I've been thinking of upgrading. Does anyone have a better recommendation for a test meter?

Temp and condo? IBP meters is what I use. HDM97 is the basic and works well. HDC64 or 85 if you wanna get fancy. They are niccceee.

Great question - I havenโt gotten one in about 2 years so then they still came from Germany but Mesa Labs bought them so I think they would be more local now? But I could be wrong.

I couldn't remember who bought it. The IBP meters are buried DEEP on their website. IBP Meter

Thank you for the suggestion. The IBP website only shows Canada for a North American distributor.

Personally, all Iโve ever used was an ibp but I like them. Worth a try to see if you can get a loaner

IMHO, it's all about what you're used too and, if the meter has the accuracy you need. For as far back as I can remember, we used NEO meters and they were great. When we switched to Braun machines, we upgraded to the IBP because if I remember right, the NEO didn't measure to enough decimal points.
When we had Fresenius machines, we had to connect a ground wire to the meter when measuring conductivity (I never knew why). The IBP can be switched to a different mode if you are working on a Fresenius machine.

So with Fresenius Blue Stars we need that extra yellow cable and connector to calibrate the Cond Conf. do these other meters have a similar feature?

Chuck or any Great Bio med. Can a dialysis clinic use the myron l and a phoenix meter in the same clinic? Absolutely as long as the staff are trained and maintain competency for both.
