Figured I would reach out to y'all and see if you have any suggestions. I've recently taken over a new unit and come across a rather horrifying realization... EVERY. SINGLE. Arterial Blood Pump Module and Level Detector Module has had it's screws sheared from the chassis itself. The only drill that was being used in the building is an impact drill.... Putting 2 and 2 together... turned out to be more questions than answer and a massive headache. Any guidance would be highly appreciated. Coffee helps too. Or finding reasoning behind using an impact drill... on a module..

It's marginally faster and more convenient with a drill. I set mine to the a 2 and then quarter a bit turn after.
GIA medical makes inserts you can attached to the machine for the modules. You reach out to them for part number & order.
For quick fix now, home depot/lowes & buy 2/2.5 inch SS screws.

Had this happen and a crap ton of deck screws in my machines from previous users. Also had users that would never take the modules out and the screw becomes one with e module face palte.
If you can not get the screw out, they drill out fairly easy using normal drill bits. I have not tried easy outs.
If you break the brass insert housing(case of the machine) I have found the JB Weld quick weld will hold the brass insert damn well. It is liquid and timing is key if your doing the upper screws.
Fresenius has the brass insert and the screw as spare parts.
If doing this i would take all the modules out. Your going to use the blank module face plate to hold the brass insert in the correct spot to epoxy it. Put screw into module, put brass insert on the screw, put the module like this in the space where repair is needed. Goop up brass insert. If the epoxy is gummy after set time it will not hold, remove and mix epoxy correctly

Impact drill isn’t an issue if your using correctly, you know clutch set and impact turned off. Obviously someone maybe wasn’t but that may be more an oversight issue than a drill issue. We have ordered new ones from Fresenius and used epoxy. Works well enough.

Seriously... y'all are amazing. Its beyond frustrating with the prior bio... I've walked into a nightmare. I've come across plenty of machines with broken springs in the acid pumps. Some have black sludge. UF pumps not calibrated correctly. Hell all the pumps not calibrated correctly so far. My goal is 3-4 Annuals per week until they are all finished. Figured its the best place to start to make sure the PM's are actually done. Every day I walk into another cluster F... Luckily I have an amazing staff so were trying to work in tandem to get everything done and everything fixed.

Just be careful with the annual pm stuff so it does not change your schedule where every year your having to do annual pms like that

What i have been doing when the insert comes out with the screw is i cut a piece of zip tie and insert it into the hole then put the brass insert back in, with a little bit of force the brass insert goes back in and it stays in place, i started doing this instead of using super glue, the glue ends up leaking and getting on the screw and makes the issue worse later on.
