I have a nurse that's telling me that the machine is adding about 3-4 minutes onto its RTD by itself about every 30 minutes. This came to her attention when the UF timer was complete but there was still about 30 minutes left on the treatment time. The patient isn't running sequential and she confirmed she, nor any of the other technicians, are changing the time. Is this something any of you have seen before?

I believe when the machine is going through the Online PHT test throughout tx it pauses the uf pull timer.

Is it that the RTD timer is going up or that the UF timer is going down? What is the nurses reference?
Some red banners like condo and temp will still allow UF to happen and that timer will go down and not RTD, Online PHT will allow UF and the timer will go down and not RTD, so your UF timers is going down by minutes and the RTD is styaing them and it looks like the RTD is "gaining" time. In actuality treatment time is just being paused

In actuality treatment time is just being paused I agree with you, but 30 minutes left on the RTD timer just doesn't make sense. Is it just one machine or one nurse? You could do a simulated run.

Those are real possibilities. I'll have nurses keep an eye on one of the culprit machines and see if that's the case then follow up. Thank you both.

I had a nurse, a technician, and the CM confirm it showed off by around 30 minutes at the end of the UF timer. If a machine was running Online PHT longer and more often would that have potential create a gap that large?

Anything/alarm that stops blood or dialysate flow will stop the treatment clock.
