Hello all. I'm new to bbraun machine hopefully someone can help me. I have a machine when you put it on dialysis mode i get low conductivity and I found out the bicarb and acid is not pulling or spinning. When I put it on rinse mode its working and I also went to TSM to manually put it on spin and its also working. Only when im on dialysis mode the bicarb and acid is not working, Any ideas???

What are your temps during dialysis? Can you list them here?

Temperature
TSE-37.9 TSBIC-36.1 TSD-35.9 TSD_S-35.9 TSDE-28.8

They seem a little off. I Would expect them to follow just under the heater.

It would also give me Bicarbonate cartridge not connected correctly and then it would go away.

Ah that helps. Check DBK Spring and Disc, the Filter FBIC and the Y Connector before the bicarb pump - all 3 sides.

No. TSDE is part of the 9.1B software upgrade. It was TSHE that was relocated because there could be major temperature issues with a failed TSD during the treatment and the machine wouldn't alarm until the temperature got up over 42 C. It was fixing the unclear wording in the IFU that everyone felt comfortable to stop testing the conductivity. AAMI has never recommended checking conductivity and deferred to manufacturer recommendations. The need for testing is actually a throwback to the days of manually mixing 120 liter batches of dialysate.

Temperature TSE-37.9 TSBIC-36.1 TSD-35.9 TSD_S-35.9 TSDE-28.8 TSDE is VERY low. My guess is it has failed but at the very least needs calibration.

Actually - TSDE_S is the TSHE sensor

Ok so TSE and TSDE should be close temp wise hence needing calibration and my next question is do they get put next to each other with the meter in line to calibrate them simultaneously?

Actually - TSDE_S is the TSHE sensor After all these years I STILL have trouble with the damn German abbreviations!

Chuck - Haha! Yeahhh it's crazy! Joey - Yes and No, The old V9 way (weird to say that now) you had to do that yes, and move it to the front of the machine inline with FBK1. Now, you just take two clamps and bypass the Balance Chamber.

So I don't screw up on the abbreviations again.....TSE is the sensor that is accessible behind the bottom front panel correct? That's the only one that needs to be calibrated by itself. Don't you have all Version 8's?

yeah all 8's I bring tshe up to tse and hook the meter in then calibrate them together. Mine are accessible from the back.
