I wanted to make this a multiple question poll but didn't see a way to do it. If you are certified, please leave a comment whether you received a raise/bonus or other compensation for it or not.

Previously had my CHT also before PCT certification was mandatory. There was no compensation. I did it and my water certification to prove to myself that I really knew what I thought I knew.

I spent about a year and a half as a PCT from early 2010 to mid 2011 before taking my current biomed position. That was at a time when they were pushing certification before it became mandatory so I got certified as a CCNT. No raise or bonus, but the company paid for it. I'd take the test to get certified in water or biomed, but it seems like every time I think about it it's a a time when money's tight (like now). Unfortunately the company won't pay for it because it's not required and I doubt it would come with a raise even if I pay for it myself.

Bess - Most people do not want to post their places of employment. Some may, but I believe a large quantity of them would prefer not to answer.
